Privacy Policy

This policy covers thephotobiographer.com and the private Client Area at yourphotobiography.com, operated by Pipe Yanguas Photography Inc., Miami, Florida.
Information we handle
We receive information provided through inquiries and client services, including names, email addresses, messages and photoshoot details. Client services also involve photographs, album information, authorized contact details, image selections, editing comments, confirmation records and saved slideshow choices. Submission records may include file numbers, image versions, dates and times. Hosting and security providers process technical information, including IP addresses, browser details and access logs. Contact-form abuse prevention uses daily hashed IP identifiers and timestamps.
How information is used
We use information to respond to inquiries, organize photoshoots, provide private galleries, manage selections and refinements, maintain submission records and communicate about your services. Private gallery access does not itself give permission to publish your photographs for promotional purposes. Such use is addressed separately through the applicable permission or agreement. We do not automatically enroll inquiry senders in a marketing mailing list.
Service providers and security
We use OpenAI ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare for website hosting, security, databases and file storage. Contact-form messages are sent through Resend and received in our business email service hosted by IONOS. Providers process information as needed to support these services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect legal rights. Providers may process information outside your country. We use access controls and secure connections, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Private access and notifications
Client information is available to Pipe and the people authorized to access that client’s account. When submission emails are enabled, selected file numbers and comments may be sent to registered client recipients and Pipe’s business email. Notification attempts and outcomes may be recorded. Share your access credentials only with people you authorize to view and act within your account. Optional ChatGPT sign-in is subject to OpenAI’s own privacy policy.
Cookies and browser storage
Client Access uses an essential sign-in cookie. Browser storage remembers interface preferences, browsing position and comment drafts. Restricting or clearing these technologies may sign you out or remove locally saved drafts and preferences. We have not added advertising pixels or analytics trackers to the photography website or Client Area. Hosting, security and sign-in providers may use their own essential technologies. Our own site code does not change its behavior in response to a browser Do Not Track signal. Links to external websites are governed by their providers’ privacy policies.
Retention
We retain photographs and client information to provide ongoing services and maintain relevant business and submission records. Our intended online-access period is five years following the most recent photoshoot, extended when another photoshoot is booked. This policy does not initiate automatic deletion. Access arrangements and any changes will be communicated separately. Requests to delete information are assessed individually, including any applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Legal grounds
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to respond to steps you request before a contract, perform our agreements, pursue legitimate interests in client service, recordkeeping and security, comply with legal obligations, or rely on consent where required.
Your choices and privacy requests
Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location, additional rights may apply, including objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent or a complaint to your local privacy authority. We may verify your identity and retain information where required by law or necessary for legal claims. Withdrawing consent does not affect prior lawful processing.
Children and family photographs
Client accounts are intended for adults. An adult arranging a photoshoot involving children should have appropriate authority to provide their information and authorize the agreed services. Photographs of children are handled as part of those services; private access does not authorize promotional publication.
